Ante and Play
You place an Ante, inspect your cards, and fold or add a Play bet to continue. The dealer commonly qualifies with queen-high or better; see the posted house rules for exact settlement.
Hand rankings
For three-card poker, straight flush beats three of a kind, which beats straight, flush, pair and high card. Straights outrank flushes because the three-card probabilities differ from five-card poker.
Simple baseline strategy
One commonly published basic decision for the Ante/Play game is to play Q-6-4 or better and fold weaker hands. Side-bet returns depend on the posted paytable.
Compare side-bet paytables before assuming a familiar wager always has the same odds.
