Three Card Poker

Three card poker is a popular casino game that combines the excitement of poker with the simplicity of three card hand rankings. In three card poker, the goal is to have a hand value that is higher than the dealer’s hand, or to place a bet on the “pair plus” option and have a pair or higher in the player’s hand.

Three card poker is played with a standard 52-card deck, and the cards are ranked in the same way as in traditional poker, with a few exceptions:

  • In three card poker, a straight beats a flush.
  • A three of a kind is ranked higher than a straight.

To play three card poker, the player places an ante bet and has the option to place a “pair plus” bet. The dealer then deals three cards to the player and three cards to themselves. The player can then look at their own cards and decide how to play their hand.

The player has two options:

  • Fold: The player forfeits their ante bet and the round is over.
  • Play: The player must place an additional bet, equal to their ante bet, to stay in the game.

The dealer’s hand is then revealed, and the hands are compared to determine the winner. If the player’s hand is higher than the dealer’s hand, the player wins both the ante and play bets. If the dealer’s hand is higher, the player loses both bets. If the hands are tied, the round is a push and the player’s bets are returned to them.

If the player placed a “pair plus” bet and has a pair or higher in their hand, they win the “pair plus” bet, regardless of the dealer’s hand. If the player does not have a pair or higher, they lose the “pair plus” bet.

Three card poker is a fast-paced and exciting game that is easy to learn and can be enjoyed by players of all skill levels. It is a popular choice at casinos around the world and is often offered in both traditional and online settings.Regener
